I SHARE THE ROAD License Plate
The Fairhope Cycling Project I SHARE THE ROAD license plate campaign was successful!
Big thanks to Hargrove Engineering + Constructors and the Hargove Foundation for making it possible with their sponsorship.
THANK YOU to those that precommitted and got theirs!
WHERE IS YOUR MONEY GOING TO GO???
Net proceeds will be used by Fairhope Cycling Project STATE WIDE to promote, educate, and help make the communities of Alabama pedestrian and bicycle friendly.
I want the communities to tell me how they want their money spent in their communities! Do you need signage in the areas where you ride? Promote health and education on safe riding and pedestrian? Does a local path or trail need improvements? There are so, so many different ways we can get Alabama out of 50th place in bicycle and pedestrian friendly ranking.
Local parents approached the local bicycle shop, Pro Cycle & Triathlon, about a better quality and more visable bicycle rack so their children could ride their bikes to school. I was able to use the sponsorship from The Hargrove Foundation and Rotary Club of Point Clear to approach another local business, Iron and Canvas, to create an exciting quality bicycle rack!
We then teamed up with Fairhope's police department for a safety presentation.
We will also be teaming up again and including the local bicycle and pedestrain committe for safe routes to school.
This happened people. It can happen again!
Education is the key!!!
